After a few tries, checking out different strategies, determining a good healing distance, etc., a team of Dragon Toon members downed the tiger boss in Zul’Gurub – High Priest Thekal – on June 27.
Our next goal in ZG will be moving on to the last priest – High Priestess Arlokk, the Panther Aspect, and then it’s on to Hakkar the Soulflayer himself.
Today’s raid night (Friday, June 23) started badly, whith a server reset about 30 minutes into the Molten Core. With trash mobs repopulating after the server reset, it took us a while to get started. But what a run it turned out to be!
In a historic first for Dragon Toon, we downed seven bosses in MC in one night – Gehennas, Garr, Baron Geddon, Shazz, Sulfuron, Golemagg, and finally…. Majordomo Executus for the very first time! Excellent work, guildies, we made him submit on our first try, even after having to improvise after a bad start. Good job!
We then took some time to head down to Ragnaros’ Lair, just to check him out for those who hadn’t seen him before. The picture below is us taking him on with 28 guys, just for fun!
While waiting to get ready for Molten Core, DT took full advantage of the Fire Resist buffing taking place over at the Midsummer pole!!

We hadn’t encountered the Magma Splashes quite like that on the MT before. They were stacked up to 30 times on Machul, who had no armor and was taking substantial damage from the debuff. Outstanding healing power and a tank switch made the kill possible. Video by Rassenmord.

Dragon Toon downed another Molten Core boss on Friday night (06/09) – Sulfuron Harbinger.
We had tried Sulf a few times before, but this time he went down like clockwork with no deaths. The video will be up shortly. Again, good job Dragon Toon!
