On Friday night, we took a raid group into AQ20 to get some more experience in this instance.After an easy fight with Kuri, we made a serious attempt at General Rajaxx and managed to down him without losing the General and without losing too many of the raid members.
Grats to DT for taking down yet another boss!
After taking down both Ragnaros and Onyxia during the raid week, we decided to see how far we could get in ZG this weekend.
After downing the priests with in-guild pickup raids on Friday and Saturday, Blit and Jabbers took a hand-picked group of DT raid regulars into ZG on Sunday night, with the intention to finally down Hakkar. After a few tries to get the strategy just right, we did take Hakkar down for the first time, with the first trinket going to Mons! Grats, people!
Dragon Toon had a great MC run this week, taking out 8 bosses on Tuesday night and downing Majordomo and Ragnaros on Wednesday night. First Ragnaros kill for DT, and done in style! Took him down to 27% before the Sons appeared.
Extra props go to Machul, Jabrony, and Mordal, who each have 100% attendance for the last 6 weeks of Molten Core raids!!

In a tightly fought battle on Friday night, Dragon Toon took down Onyxia for the first time, with a group of 35 dedicated raiders. That included some guildies who got attuned, tried Ony for the first time immediately afterwards, and got to take her down on their very first try!! Special props go to Jabrony, who has been pushing for weeks now to get everyone attuned and to take her down!
It was smiles all around in Dragon Toon tonight, and we will be turning the head in tomorrow before trying for another first in completing the Molten Core. The video of our Ony kill and a better pic or two coming soon.
So DT took down yet another ZG boss on Thursday night. Kiss the ugly butt of Gahz'ranka goodbye!
First two tries didnt go so well, but with pure DT nuke style on the third, down he went.
Today we took down our final Aspect of Hakkar in ZG, High Priestess Arlokk, the Panther Aspect.
After a few tries, checking out different strategies, determining a good healing distance, etc., a team of Dragon Toon members downed the tiger boss in Zul’Gurub – High Priest Thekal – on June 27.
Our next goal in ZG will be moving on to the last priest – High Priestess Arlokk, the Panther Aspect, and then it’s on to Hakkar the Soulflayer himself.
Dragon Toon downed another Molten Core boss on Friday night (06/09) – Sulfuron Harbinger.
We had tried Sulf a few times before, but this time he went down like clockwork with no deaths. The video will be up shortly. Again, good job Dragon Toon!
Dragon Toon downed two more Molten Core bosses on Saturday night (5/20) – Shazzrah and Golemagg the Incinerator. We had tried Shazzrah twice before with no real luck, but this time we got a good strategy going, and the teamwork paid off. Golemagg went down smoothly on the second try (or was it third?).
Again, good job Dragon Toon! We are moving forward with giant strides every time we go into this instance.
A new boss defeated in Molten Core this past Friday (5/13) was Baron Geddon. We had tried him last week, with no real success using any of our strategies. This time, though, everyone did well with avoiding the group while they were "the bomb", and we finally took him down. Good job, DT!!
