Another week, another SSC boss down. Grats to Mons on T5 legs, and Reliable (ZOMG LOOTWHORABLE) on plate belt AND T5 legs.

Finally, after too long, we beat us up a new boss. Grats to everyone on pwning a really technical fight, to Lootwater, Lootdarkman, and umm The Strongloot One?

Dragon Toon downed the Lynx boss today on our first run to him. Nice work guys…grats to Noisewater on the epic rogue shoulders!

After a hiatus of a few months, we are bringing the DragonToon website back online at our new domain, www.dragontoon.com. It’s been a good several months, with lots of raiding progress, as well as some changes in guild composition. But we are still here, still going strong.

The picture below is of the most recent kill, Jan’alai, the Dragonhawk boss in Zul’Aman.

DragonToon has been chugging away over the last few weeks, not making too much noise as we focus on leveling up to 70 and exploring the new world opening up with the Burning Crusade expansion. Like many other guilds, we have seen some member turnover through the last part of 2006 and into 2007, but our roster has stabilized with the addition of a few new great people, and now we are ready to move on. As this entry is being written, DT is making its very first foray into the Tower of Karazhan!

We haven’t been totally idle over the last few months, as we actually got a group together one night to take down Razorgore in Blackwing Lair, just for the heck of it! That’s the screenshot below.

This site has been stripped down to a bare-bones version for a while, but we will be adding some more functionality as we go about deciding on a loot distribution system and bank export application over the next month or so. While not the first group to clear the Blood Furnace, we were definitely the sexiest!  Grats to Mons, Soraga, Graawwk, Polivn, and Symentol.
First boss was a cake walk, 2nd one took a little learning and some clever crowd control, and the last boss was a blast. Literally, as he blasted us with AOE shadowbolts! Great run guys!

Hotsoup has returned from his summer sojourn in Africa and has taken back the GM responsibilities from Mons, who had served the guild as GM for the summer. Thanks, Mons, for agreeing to take on the tough GM job and for doing it very well. Welcome back to Hotsoup!

Just in time for the switch, we are now officially starting our Blackwing Lair practice runs, beginning to learn the fight to take down Razorgore the Untamed, the first boss in BWL.

Another good raid week for DT this week, despite some issues due to patch day on Tuesday, which pushed our raid schedule up a day.

We took down Onyxia on Wednesday night, with some delays due to issues with CT_RaidAssist versions. Then we raced through the first 5 MC bosses before calling it a night. On Thursday, we took an unscheduled raid day and turned it into another MC run, complete with taking down Ragnaros again – for the second time. We had him down to 17% before the sons this time, beating our record from last week. Rag sure looks like he is hurting in the below screenshot!

The first Dragon Toon Epic Hunter Bow quest -for Rhok’delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers – was completed by Polivn last night after killing his last Demon. Grats, Pol!
